Seddon Book Alley | Ecommerce website
Seddon Book Alley, a cherished secondhand bookstore in Seddon, initially approached us to establish a responsive online presence. Founded by Robert Ford as a pop-up store, it quickly gained a loyal following among locals. We initially designed a website with social media integration and on-page SEO enhancements to boost local search results.
The Evolution: From Online Presence to E-Commerce
As the business grew, Robert returned with a new challenge: he needed an e-commerce solution that would allow him to manage his inventory effortlessly. Understanding the unique needs of a bookstore, we devised an innovative solution that leverages Google Sheets for real-time inventory management.
What We Achieved
- Website Redesign: We overhauled the existing website, incorporating Elementor for easy updates, enhancing the user experience and aesthetics.
- Google Sheets Integration: We built a custom solution that syncs with Google Sheets, enabling Robert to update his stock levels in real-time without having to navigate the website’s backend. This allows him to manage inventory effortlessly, even from behind the counter.
- E-Commerce Upgrade: We transitioned the website to an e-commerce platform using WooCommerce, allowing for a seamless online shopping experience for Seddon Book Alley’s customers.
The Outcome
The result is a dynamic, user-friendly website that not only serves as an online catalogue but also as a fully functional e-commerce platform. The Google Sheets integration has revolutionised the way Robert manages his inventory, making the process more efficient and less time-consuming. With these digital upgrades, Seddon Book Alley is well-equipped to serve both its local customer base and a broader online audience.
